Every time...no really, every time we go visit with some of our friends they throw out the red carpet.  It's so humbling to experience the warm hospitality that is showered down on us from folks who usually have so little.  We have a lot to learn!

Warning:  Be careful what you put in welcome baskets!  If you put blue ice in the cooler make sure you explain to refugees that it is not edible.  Fortunately our new friends didn't consume any but they think Americans are weird for eating it.

Love the words to this song because it's a great reminder of how fleeting, how temporary that sense of belonging is.  We've been back in the States for almost 6 months and it feels like home.  That's wonderful and very dangerous at the same time.  While we have blue passports, we're still aliens.  We are not of this world, never mind being of this country.  May we never get too comfortable with where we are.  Our home is elsewhere.  Our desire is for that place!

Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Day:  On behalf of the millions of people around the world that are currently enslaved or being trafficked we wore orange today.  At 1:11pm we joined scores of people in prayer for this issue. Click here for details.

6January2012 Inheritance

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  This was handwritten by P's father before his death.  P's mother matted, framed it and gave it to us for Christmas.  There is no greater inheritance to leave the generations that follow than a foundation of faith!

Our goal in 2012 is to walk as closely as possible with the Father, the One who makes all things new.  What better place is there?  We're praying for all our friends around the world to live in the joy and peace that only He can give.  Happy New Year everyone.
