Old Land cruisers, khaki and camouflage, beautiful animals, binoculars and amazing surroundings. Yesterday's safari was a real treat. Why in the world had we waiting so long to do this?

25December2017 Oh! Hey Jesus!
I heard it from the other room. #L was our living room, setting up the kids' nativity scene. She's been setting it up multiple times per day since #D got it out of storage. In fact, there may or may not have been some battles between the wise men and Star Wars action figures and an impromptu soccer match or two featuring shepherds versus a the barnyard animals. So, I was about to walk in and fuss at her again when I heard it. "Oh! Hey Jesus! Welcome to our house!" It stopped me in my tracks. Yes! The six-year-old gets it. That's exactly what Christmas is. We celebrate the coming of the Emmanuel. We welcome the Messiah to earth, into our lives.
We say, Hey Jesus! Welcome to our house!
Merry Christmas yall!

8December2017 Quickshot: Snow Days
We're calling them snow days. It's not because of frozen precipitation, as you can see the weather is quite lovely. But the last couple days we have been sequestered to our apartment, just like a snow day. The recent announcement regarding the governments decision to move an embassy, sent shock waves across this region. Although protests across our city have been predominantly nonviolent, as precautionary measures, we have stayed out of the public.
So, we've put together Christmas puzzles and read books, worked on school assignments and watched movies. A couple of us, no names mentioned, have remained in pajamas all day. Sounds sort of like a snow day, right. Minus the snow cream.
Please continue to pray for this part of the world over the coming day as ramifications are revealed. We will try to keep you updated if anything changes for us.

1Dec2017 Quickshot(s): Anatomy of a Goal
A. wrapped up the season with a couple of goals in his final game. We lost track of the number of goals but he can probably tell you how many times he scored, which foot he used, number of assists, minutes played, etc. The kid loves futbol.
