30April2018 families of nations

(art by #M)

"All the ends of the earth will remember
and turn to the Lord.
All the families of the nations
will bow down before You, for kingship belongs to the Lord;

He rules the nations.
-Psalm 22:27-28

As He breathed His last breaths on the cross, some of Jesus' final words were quoted from this same Psalm, one cant help but realize that the nations and the families of the nations were on His mind.  Of course, that why He endured what He did, that the world may come to relationship with God.

13April2018 Sandlot

#A and #L have joined a local Little League.  They have practice on various days throughout and a game each Friday (Remember, our school/work week in Sunday through Thursday). It's been interesting to see the confluence of two cultures, with America's favorite past time being played on the sandy soil of the Middle East...among the camels.

5April2018 Molly Pitcher

As part of her class's study of American history, #M was assigned a class presentation on a lesser known character of the Revolutionary War....in front of her classmates, parents, and the whole world!  She choose Molly Pitcher and knocked it out of the park.  We are so proud of this young lady!

1April2018 Once

"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit." 1 Peter 3:18
In the middle of all the pageantry and family traditions, colored eggs and favorite hymns, Easter dresses and chocolate bunnies, it's easy to lose track of what today is all about.  Your infractions, my sins, every last one of them, were redeemed by the loving sacrifice of our Messiah.  Once for all!  Hallelujah.  Happy Resurrection Day!
