An old wives tale says that the woolier and blacker these worms are the harsher the winter's going to be.  If the saying is true, this little fella is telling us to get ready for some severe weather.

We enjoyed persimmons while in the Middle East but they were much larger and not quite as sweet. P stumbled upon this tree the other day and luckily the critters hadn't eaten all the fruit.
