Took this shot the other day while we were walking through a mall. As you can see it is decorated to the nines for Christmas. The irony struck me. Christmas, the celebration of the Messiah, is not celebrated here but christmas, the celebration of all things shopping, is wholeheartedly embraced. Sounds and smells and sights look very similar but there's a stark difference, a mere shadow of the beauty of this holiday. It's sad really. It sounds cliche but without Christ there is no Christmas!
