16December2020 L's Christmas Program

 

Last night we were blessed to attend L's school Christmas program.  Masks and social distancing made it a bit different this year but what a blessing to attend something we thought Corona was going to rob from us. These kids sang their hearts out and worshiped God with every bit of their beings.  They certain set the bar and set a wonderful example for the rest of us.  Merry Christmas everyone.

As you can see above, #A is no longer playing soccer on sand, in the desert.  It's pretty phenomenal how adaptable our children are.  Please continue to pray for them, and their parents, as they adjust to life in the States during our time here. 

07/22/20 Dozen

This kid turns 12 today.  So grateful for the gift of #A, for his gifts and talents, his personality and heart, his compassion and desire to see people laugh and smile.  Our verse for his B-day this year is Proverbs 22:1. 

"A good name is more desirable than great riches;
    to be esteemed is better than silver or gold."

Grateful these five got some pool time in this week.  As evidenced by the smiles on their faces, and the water all over the place, they have really enjoyed it.

28August2014 Quickshot: Magnet Truth

Each week one of the kids get to make up a word using Lego magnet blocks and post it on the refrigerator door with an accompanying verse.  This week M. created this masterpiece.  The word is "ChiLDrEn" and the verse is Mark 10:14. What great Truth regarding Jesus' love for kids.

Happy birthday to this kid!  So proud of the young man Z is becoming and grateful for the tremendous part he plays in our family.  For his 12th birthday we echo these words found in 1 Chronicles 28:9  "And you, my son...acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever."

Happy birthday to this super hero!  We're praising God and celebrating A's 6th birthday today.

The guy graduated preschool yesterday.  He's pretty proud of himself and so are we.

Soccer is A.'s thing!  We believe he had a triple hat-trick this week.  It was hard keeping track.
