Quiet, unassuming, big-hearted, deep thinking, contagious wit, devoted, loyal, faithful, cool…So much to say about the sheer amazingness that is #Z.  Happy Birthday to this guy right here. 

15March2019 Run Forest Run!

Thank you!  We asked you to pray for J, Z and their amazing teammates as they ran the 250 kilometer relay-marathon from the Dead Sea up to the Red Sea.  They ran, well flew, the 155 mile course, taking first place and beating their course record, crossing the finish line in 13 hours, 8 minutes and 33 seconds.  They completed successfully, safely and giving glory to our God.  Praise Him!

9November2015 Quickshot: Snokelfest

There are worse places to go on a field trip.  While the rest of the family was shivering in the rain, Z and his lovely chaperoning mama, got to enjoy some sun, sand and snorkeling at the Red Sea.

Homemade ice-cream cake, plenty of swag including American snacks (read "poptarts adn cheese-its") and a trip to PF Changs (yes, PF Changs).  Welcome to your teenage years, Z! We're grateful for you and pray these words from Psalm 13 for the next twelve month of your life:  

"But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.  I will sing the Lord’s praise,

This weekend, two goofy brothers + horseplay = altered smile.  Therefore, Z spent a little time in the dentist's chair today.  20 minutes and $42 later his grin was restored.

A perk for living over here.  EARLY RELEASES!!!  We're sad to see the Lord of the Rings & the Hobbit end but loved every minute of it.  

13August2014 Dozen

Happy birthday to this kid!  So proud of the young man Z is becoming and grateful for the tremendous part he plays in our family.  For his 12th birthday we echo these words found in 1 Chronicles 28:9  "And you, my son...acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever."

Our indoor soccer continues.  We're loving the fast pace and amount of offense involved on the turf.  The only problem is the games are over so quickly!

WOOHOO!  School was canceled today because of snow.  Instead of doing math and language arts we threw snowballs and sledded.  It was SO MUCH FUN!

For a mommy-date, D took the 2 eldest to see the Hobbit:  Desolation of Smaug.  They give it 2, actually 6, thumbs ups.

4 of our 7 started back to school today. 

J started 7th Grade

Z started 6th Grade

M started 1st Grade

D returned to the classroom and is teaching 6th Grade Math, Science and Literature.

P and Z were invited to go on a canoe 'safari' yesterday.  They caught a bunch of fish and had a wonderful time.  Check out this beautiful scenery.
