I love this photo from the metro yesterday because there are at least five different nationalities sitting within arms' reach of Z and A. This place truly is a melting pot.
This afternoon M and I had a thirty minute taxi ride back from the doctor's office. We listened in rapt attention as Jaheel shared his life's story. Every person has a story!
From a village in southern Pakistan, Jaheel's father and uncle came here to find work and support their growing families. Twenty-five years later Jaheel and his brother followed in their fathers' foot steps. Jaheel sees his four children, ages 13 and under, infrequently but works long hours so he can send money back to Pakistan to support them. He dreams of a good education and a better life for his children. Please join us in praying for Jaheel and his family.
