"...God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace." Luke 1:78-79This statement has been lost on me in the grand Christmas story until this morning. These words of a grateful daddy, Zechariah, spoken over his promised, miracle, baby boy, John, encapsulates why we celebrate this season. Read them again:

Beautiful! A merciful God's provision of escape, salvation and peace....to us! How marvelous! Merry Christmas indeed!
