7August2019 Quickshots: $50 Used GoPro

Dont suspect the underwater housing will get used very much in the desert but it's hard to turn down a $50 GoPro.  Hope to post more pics and maybe some videos as we learn to use it.

3February2019 Like Mother, Like Daughter

D is gifted!  She's able to do things using kitchen utensils and a few ingredients to bless your socks off.  Is there a such thing as the gift of grub?  I think so.  She's also extremely gifted in parenting. She holds the calling of motherhood very tightly, constantly seeking to glorify God by raising children that glorify God.  Every day, all day she's serving, selflessly, speaking Truth into our kids' lives, loving them abundantly....mothering as unto the Lord.
One cool thing to witness is when #10littlefeet say or do things that emulate their mama.  Here M is doing that very thing, by baking.  M has experienced love by her mother baking for her.  Now she is loving others by baking for them.  What a great reminder of the ripple effect of serving others, by loving through oftentimes simple acts.

15December2018 Joyful Noise

We are so proud of this young lady.  Not only because she rocker her piano recital yesterday but because in doing so she swallowed her fear, walked up in front of the crowd and did her thing.

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.”

18October2018 Back-to-Back Bdays Part 1

Today we're celebrating the birth of sweet #M.  She woke up to French Toast Casserole, with not a little syrup, and presents, including camera above (who knew the Polaroids of old had made a comeback), and singing.  School was canceled (due to a sand flea infestation and subsequent campus-wide fumigation) so it was off to the mall with four of her friends....and her father.  Dads are okay when they buy everyone Big Macs and sit in Starbucks while a herd of twelve year-olds does whatever it is they do in the mall for hours, and then buys Pinkberry for said herd.
We are so grateful for the gift that twelve years ago God saw fit to give us our first daughter and bless the world with this treasure.  We praise Him for the gift of #M on her special day.

28November2015 Quickshot: Tree Trimming

A little touch of the holidays was added to our apartment today as we spent the morning erecting and decorating our humble, little Christmas tree.  How fun!
This tradition has gained some traction among our neighbors as we see many more decorations in homes and businesses, even among our Mslm neighbors, in the last five years.  I've been brushing up on its history in hopes of being ready to use this lovely, evergreen bridge to sharing the True meaning of Christmas.

4November2015 Quickshot: Fav Place

If you walk into our home you're likely to see the scene above.  Each of the Little Feet have developed a love for reading and can usually be found immersed in a book.  M. is no exception and having a purple bean bag to crawl into is an added bonus.

5July2015 Quickshot: Visit

M's July 4th didnt include fireworks or cookouts this year. Instead she visited refugee children, playing, making homemade playdough and doing art projects.  She's pretty amazing!

18October2014 ثمانية ("Eight")

Happy Birthday to this wonderful, beautiful, amazing, compassionate, creative, ALIVE IN THE SPIRIT eight-year-old!  How fitting that M's memory verse this week is 1 Peter 3:18. "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit."  We celebrate her life and are grateful to God for her life!

French toast, presents and fresh kicks.  A great birthday morning for M.

19September2014 Quickshot: Down by the River

Months ago M told us that she had made THE decision and wanted to be immersed.  Today the opportunity arose.  It took place in a very special spot, the location (or at least within very close proximity to the location) where the Lamb was immersed.  What an amazing day!  Great memories for M, P and the rest of our family.  PTL!

3July2014 Quickshot: Walkabout

P&M enjoyed a brief hike through the woods today. How wonderful to commune with the Creator while enjoying His creation!

28May2014 Joy Filled Noise

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
   Serve the Lord with gladness!
 Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, He is God!
    It is He who made us, and we are His;
    we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
 Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
    and His courts with praise!
    Give thanks to Him; bless His Name!
For the Lord is good;
    His steadfast love endures forever,
    and His faithfulness to all generations.

M. had her piano recital this week.  What a beautiful thing to see her making a joyful noise to the Lord!
"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
    break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,
    with the lyre and the sound of melody!
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
    make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
    the world and those who dwell in it!
Let the rivers clap their hands;
    let the hills sing for joy together
before the Lord, for He comes
    to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
    and the peoples with equity,"

18January2014 Quickshot: Taller

Yes, M. has gotten quite a bit taller.  However in this photo she's wearing skates at a school buddy's birthday party.  Wish we had video of her and her mama skating together!

20October2013 Back-to-Back Birthdays

Our girls celebrated their birthdays this week.  M turned 7 and L turned 2.  Very grateful for these two precious young ladies!  We pray they walk with the Father all the days of their lives, impacting the world for His kingdom and boldly proclaiming the Truth in both word and deed.  And we pray they always keep these smiles!
